The iconic Sd.KLfz 251/1 or Hanomag enabled the infantry, known as Panzergrendiers, to keep pace with the armoured fist of Blitzkrieg. From the first battles of the Low Countries and France to the final defence of the Reich, these halftracks fulfilled every role imaginable, ferrying troops and guns to where they were needed most and providing vital fire support.
